Notice of Availability of Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis

Notice is hereby given that the Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis for the Conjecture Mine Removal Action and the Administrative Record upon which it is based is available for public review and comment. The EE/CA was prepared under the Forest Service's authority derived from Section 104 of the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act.

The EE/CA describes the Forest Service's preferred Removal Action Option of Partial Removal of waste to the Lakeview Repository with On Site Disposal and Reconstruction of Gold Creek, as well as other Removal Action Options that were considered. The EE/CA is located at the Bonner County Public Library and the Sandpoint Ranger District, and is available for public inspection during regular business hours. The Forest Service will accept written comments for 30 calendar days from the date of this notice. The Forest Service will prepare a written response to significant comments.
