Lorraine Elsie Grimm, 63

Lorraine Elsie Grimm, 63, of Sagle, Idaho, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2006, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

A private family service with burial will be held at Whitepine Cemetery in Trout Creek, Mont.

A public memorial gathering will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the Longbridge Restaurant at the south end of the Long Bridge in Sagle.

Lorraine was born on Nov. 26, 1942, in Pendleton, Ore., the daughter of Arthur and Elinor (Colf) Thurman.

Lorraine graduated valedictorian of Thompson Falls High School in Thompson Falls, Mont. Thereafter her and her husband, Dexter, shared a great love for each other and their music. They spent much time playing guitar together and are best known as members of the Plainsmen.

Lorraine was more commonly known to all as mom, even by customers of Grimm Bros., where she devoted time doing office work for her sons. She had an irreplaceable knowledge of automobiles and, especially, parts.

Lorraine was deeply loved by her children and grandchildren. Above all, she was a very special woman who spent her life as a support system for an endless list of loving family and friends, by which, her presence will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

She is survived by three sons, Curtis Grimm of Ponderay, Idaho, Kevin Grimm of Sagle and Clayton Baylor of South Dakota; a daughter, Tia Lawrence of Sagle; four grandchildren, Karmae Grimm, Kevin J. Grimm, Patrick M. Miles and Colton Miles; her mother, Elinor Thurman of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; two brothers, Mike Thurman of Washington and Pat Thurman of Coeur d'Alene; and a sister, Ginny Morgan of Arkansas. Lorraine was preceded in death by her father, Arthur; and her husband, Dexter.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
