On June 30, 1938, she married E.K. "Bill" Martin in Sandpoint. Bill served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. They later lived in Portland, Ore., and Seattle, Wash., where Emma was a bookkeeper for Seattle City and Electric.

She is survived by two sisters, Naomi Hagadone and Lucille Bottcher, both of Sandpoint; a brother, Ed Ham of Sandpoint; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
