Betty Jean Eastwood, 71

Betty Jean Eastwood, 71, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2006, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Viewing for friends and family will be held from noon until 7 p.m. today, Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2006, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint with Pastor James B. Loer officiating. Burial will follow at the Pinecrest Cemetery.

Betty was born on Oct. 24, 1934, in Hobart, Okla., to Tony and Birdie Pajoff. She grew up and attended grade school in Hobart, the family later moved to Hollydale, Calif., and Betty graduated from Compton High School.

Betty married Charles Eastwood on Nov. 26, 1952, in Long Beach, Calif. In California, she worked for the Mother Lode Bank in Folsom, the accounting department of Mercy Hospital, and as a medical transcriptionist at Auburn Faith Community Hospital. Betty retired in 1990 and moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1997.

Betty and Charles enjoyed wintering in Ajo, Ariz., where she enjoyed her friends and church family. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Orangeville, Calif. She enjoyed painting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading, and fishing.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles Eastwood of Sandpoint; four children, Debbie (Arlon) Keller of Sandpoint, Steve (Donna) Eastwood of Foresthill, Calif., Melissa (Bill) Kelley of Roseville, Calif., and Melinda (Bryan) Duty of Sandpoint; seven grandchildren, Kristine, Andy, Brad, April, Kara, Talisa, and Amanda; and four great-grandchildren Alyssa, Jenika, Bryson, and Anthony.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Tony Jr.; and two sisters Josephine Knapp and Maxine Pajoff.
