Sisters Anneliese and Lilly DeAragon both took home wrestling titles from the West Coast Girls Championships last weekend in Payton, Nev.

Annaliese, an eighth-grader at Sandpoint Middle School, dominated the field at 135 pounds, winning all three of her matches by pin.

"She just obliterated her challengers," said her mother, Pilar DeAragon. "She was driven and really wanted to win."

Lilly, 10, won her title uncontested, and then chose to wrestle girls that were two-years older and 25 pounds heavier. She finished 2-2 and garnered the respect of other coaches.

"They were coming up and saying how impressed they were that she even wrestled," said Pilar. "She put her guts on the line and showed how good she can wrestle."

Prior to that, Lilly finished second at 96 pounds in an all-boys bracket at a freestyle competition in Turlock, Calif.
