Norman (Buddy) Karl Jensen, 78

Norman (Buddy) Karl Jensen, 78, of Noxon, Mont., left his home on March 26, 2006, to be with the Lord after losing his battle with cancer.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted in the Heron Cemetery in Heron, Mont. The services will be at 11 a.m. Mountain Standard Time on Saturday, April 1.

Norman was born in Custer, Mont., to Marinus and Gertrude (Bradley) Jensen on Dec. 8, 1927.

The family moved to Heron, Mont., in 1936 and he graduated from Noxon High School in 1945.

Norman joined the U.S. Army, to serve his country, during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1953. He met Lillian Howe and the couple were married on Dec. 12, 1953 in Missoula, Mont. Norman went to work for the Montana State Highway Department in 1968 and retired, after 21 years, in 1989.

Norman enjoyed hunting elk and deer, camping, and gardening.

Norman leaves behind three children, Duane (Robin) Jensen of Heron, Mont., Cindy (Bill York) Lacey of Sandpoint, Idaho, and Clint (Rebecca) Jensen of Heron, Mont.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Garrett of Quincy, Wash., and Bernice Runkle of Sandpoint; numerous nieces and nephews; and a close, dear friend and neighbor, Mickie Dobson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, of 37 years, Lillian; two brothers and a sister.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
