Tennis team drops road match at Lewiston
LEWISTON — Cody Helander had a solid win at No. 1 girls singles, one of the few bright spots in the Bulldogs' 9-3 loss against Lewiston in tennis.
"She played smart and consistent," said coach Jane Rockwell. "She had a great desire to win her match."
Jessie Novak and Abby Helander won the girls No. 1 doubles and Jessy Petty won a hard-fought match at boys No. 2 singles for the other Bulldog wins.
"Jessy's serve was on fire," said Rockwell. "He came in a lot and had great net play."
Sandpoint hops on the bus again, playing at Moscow today.
