NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bonner County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold public hearings at the following times on Thursday, May 18, 2006, in Courtroom 4 of the Bonner County Courthouse, 215 S. First Avenue, Sandpoint, Idaho, to consider the following requests:

5:00 P.M. - FILE V355-05 - VARIANCE REQUEST: WATERFRONT AND SIDE YARD SETBACK - CHESLEY & JULIE HOUSKE/HOUSKE FAMILY TRUST are requesting an 8-foot front waterfront setback, where 40 feet is required, and a 4-foot side yard setback, where 10 feet is required, for construction of a storage building that will be accessory to an existing restaurant/resort on Lake Pend Oreille known as Bottle Bay Resort. The site is located off of Bottle Bay Road in Section 33, Township 57 North, Range 1 West. The site is zoned Recreation.

5:30 P.M. - FILE V359-05 - VARIANCE REQUEST: FRONT YARD SETBACK - ONWARD & ANN BIRKHIMER are requesting a front yard setback variance of 10 feet, where 25 feet is required, in order to construct a 3-unit multi-family residential building. The project is located on Lot 5, Block 6, Schweitzer Basin Village, First Addition in Section 20, Township 58 North, Range 2 West. Access is via Parallel Run. The site is zoned Recreation.

5:45 P.M. - FILE C839-05 - CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A TRI-PLEX - ONWARD & ANN BIRKHIMER are seeking conditional use permit approval for a 3-unit multi-family residential building in the Recreation District at Schweitzer. The project is located on Lot 5, Block 6, Schweitzer Basin Village, First Addition in Section 20, Township 58 North, Range 2 West, B.M. Access is via Parallel Run. The site is zoned Recreation.

6:15 P.M. - FILE C836-05 - CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A SMALL-SCALE PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT AND FILE S1283-05 - CANYON CREEK RANCH - PRELIMINARY PLAT - FRED MARTIN, ET AL are seeking approval for a planned unit development (C836-05) and a preliminary plat (S1283-05) to subdivide a +/-176-acre tract into 35 lots, between +/-2.55 and +/-8.01 acres in size, and common area. The site is zoned Rural, and is located off of Sagle Road, +/-5 miles southeast of the City of Sandpoint, in Section 19, Township 56 North, Range 1 West, B.M.
