Miracles happen every day at Bonner General Hospital

| May 9, 2006 9:00 PM

National Hospital Week began in 1921 in an effort to demystify health care and alleviate some of the public fears surrounding hospitals at that time. Since then, National Hospital Week has become the most celebrated week in health care and Bonner General Hospital (BGH) is proud to take part in the celebration.

This year, National Hospital Week is May 7-13, and hospitals all across the country will unite under the theme, "Where Miracles Happen Every Day." Here at Bonner General, we know that miracles do happen every day and the people who make them happen are our employees. From our professional staff of doctors and nurses to the caring people who make sure our hallways and patient rooms are clean and safe, our staff is known for their friendly and helpful attitudes.

"National Hospital Week is a wonderful opportunity to recognize the passion and dedication our staff demonstrates each and every day and to let them know how much they are appreciated," said Sheryl Rickard, Bonner General chief executive officer.

The world of health care is always growing and changing, with new advances being made every day. New technology improves the ways we diagnose and treat illnesses, but it is our healthcare workers who treat not just the illness, but the patient. Every person admitted to BGH is an individual with their own fears and concerns and it takes a special kind of compassion on the part of our employees to help alleviate those fears and make our patients comfortable.

Bonner General Hospital is here to ensure a healthier community. We take care of our neighbors, teachers, store owners and families everyday. Yet, it is our staff that makes our hospital a place for health and caring. BGH would like to thank all of its employees for their outstanding service to our community.
