Eva Croy, 93
Eva Croy, 93, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2006, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Private services will be held with her final resting place in Hope, Idaho.
Eva was born on Nov. 16, 1912, in Spangle, Wash., the daughter of William and Estella (Crowford) Heaton Jr.
Eva grew up in Spokane, Wash., and worked at Montgomery Wards.
As a young girl Eva loved to fish and hunt.
She married Wyman Croy on March 21, 1941, in Sandpoint. They lived in Hope, Idaho, moving to Alaska, where she enjoyed dog sledding and the outdoors.
She returned to Bonner County and settled in Sagle, Idaho, on what Eva liked to call her place, "The Ranch."
She was a very independent and strong woman. She moved into Sandpoint, living on Ruth Street for many years, continuing her love for flowers and gardening.
She is survived by a nephew, Art (Mary Ann) Croy; three nieces, Linda (Larry) Hossner, Janet (Clark) Mitchell and Jo (Bob) Verveki; an aunt, Helen Crawford; and close family friends and companions for many years, Anita Byers and Mary Degens.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband Wyman in 1967.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint, Idaho.
