To say that milfoil interferes with recreational activities such as swimming, fishing, and boating, understates the problem. Among other things, even strong swimmers can become entangled and drown in milfoil infested waters. Washington state spends $1,000,000 per year in public and private funds to control milfoil.
Roughly similar amounts are spent in Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, and Vermont to control milfoil statewide. For Eric Anderson to obtain $2,000,000 for milfoil control in Boundary and Bonner County is remarkable. The waters of North Idaho are a precious resource.
Please vote for Eric Anderson and help keep a looming disaster at bay.
