Crossett and Dye offer county hope for future
I am voting for Todd Crossett and writing in Karl Dye because I believe they are the only candidates that will give the people of Bonner County hope in the coming years.
There is much to say about how Karl Dye may have caused the property tax debacle in Bonner County and he is to blame for people being taxed out of their property. But the facts remain. Although nearly everyone has seen an increase in their assessed values, your tax bills that are set to arrive any day now will tell a different story.
What is my story? My value went up nearly $60,000 but my taxes went down almost $350. Why is that? I attribute it to the current county commissioners demanding our inept assessor to get new construction on the tax rolls. If there is blame to be given, than all property owners should look to our assessor, although, she is always good at pointing the fingers at others rather than herself. Consider all of this when you vote Nov. 7 and remember, never under estimate the power of a vote.
