Sandpoint pair earn soccer honors

COEUR d'ALENE — North Idaho College soccer players, and former Sandpoint Bulldogs Seth Baker and Brooke Donnely were selected to All-Conference/All-Region teams for Region 18 of the Scenic West Athletic Conference during the 2006 season.

NIC men's soccer player John Prugh of Bozeman, Mont., was named to the All-Conference/All-Region team and has been selected as a Player of the Year/All-American nominee. Mike Vredenburg of Coeur d'Alene and Mark Pacold of Boise are also All-American nominees as well as All-Conference/All-Region players.

Other NIC men's soccer All-Conference/All-Region players are Mark Lee of Puyallup, Wash., Jared Bork of McCall and Travis Jette of Missoula, Mont.

NIC women's soccer player Makayla Desjarlais of Post Falls was named to the All-Conference/All-Region team and has been selected as a Player of the Year/All-American nominee. Jillian McAndrews of Spokane, Wash., and McKenzie Favero of Ogden, Utah, are also All-American nominees as well as All-Conference/All-Region players.

Other NIC women's soccer All-Conference/All-Region players are Lauren Winterholler of Idaho Falls, Holly Meyer of Coeur d'Alene and Whitney Melton of Hamilton, Mont.
