Letter writer should spend more time on research

| November 15, 2006 8:00 PM

I was not aware that we had ever met and am surprised that we are on such a familiar, first-name basis, Larry. It is unfortunate you spend so much time writing diatribes and so little time on researching the facts before you take pen to paper, Lar.

A have a suggestion for you, L.F. Next time you decide to arbitrarily lump everybody together as either "fer us" or "agin us," you might try it without the belittling labels and childish name calling.

Apparently, your grasp of and arguments on the issues do not seem to stand up on their own without using personal and false attacks on people with legitimate concerns and questions related to a highway in Sand Creek.

Perhaps a little overcompensation for not being quite comfortable with the veracity of what you are writing? And Larry, please feel free to continue using first names now that we are on such a familiar basis. I was always uncomfortable with the whole "Mr." pretensions of formality anyway.
