Michael O. Spletstoser, 39

Michael O. Spletstoser, 39, of Priest River, Idaho, was found at his home on Nov. 14, 2006. He passed away from an unexpected brain hemorrhage.

Michael was born August 21, 1967 in Newport, Wash., the son of Lowell and Helen (Mularczyk) Spletstoser.

After Michael graduated from Priest River Lammana High School he joined the United States Marine Corps. During boot camp he injured his foot and was later discharged. He then came back to the Priest River area and started working for Riley Creek Lumber Company. He has worked at the Laclede mill for the past 18 years.

Michael loved his work at the mill and the people he worked with. He considered them a second family.

Although he loved his job his true passion in life was the outdoors. He loved every aspect of the outdoors. He knew every mountain lake in the area and how to get to it. Michael enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with his family and friends. He spent any free time he had hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his mother and father Lowell and Helen Spletstoser of Priest River, Idaho; one brother Steven and his wife Christy Spletstoser of Laclede, Idaho. Survivors also include one niece, Casey Spletstoser; and a nephew, Kevin Spletstoser, both of Laclede, Idaho.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Priest River.
