LeRoy L. Clark, 22

LeRoy L. Clark, 22, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Oct. 16, 2006, following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held today, Oct. 25, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, Wash. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of seven months, Felicia Clark; his parents, Rick and Darcy Burke, all of Sandpoint, Idaho, his sister Crystal Clark; brothers Christopher Albertus and Ricky Burke; nephew, Isaiah LaBelle; biological father Gerald Clark; grandmothers Erika Visintainer and Virginia Pender; mother-in-law Lucy Greenwale; grandpa Robert Becker, and a large, loving extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ralph Burke, in 1997.

LeRoy was born in Kalispel, Mont., on Dec. 13, 1983. He graduated with honors from high school in Chiloquin, Ore., in 2002. He enlisted in the Marine Corps immediately following graduation. LeRoy served two tours of duty in Iraq in the 2nd AA BAN 2nd Marine Division, Amphibious Assault Crew and also served two tours of duty in Iraq in the 2nd AA Bn 2nd Marine Division, Amphibious Assault Crew and also served with the 24th MEU Charlie Company.

He proudly served his country and was a hero to his family and friends. He was dearly loved by his family. He touched many lives during his brief time here. He will be greatly missed.
