Mildred (Millie) was born and raised in Gerty, Okla., the youngest and last survivor of eight children born to Seaborn and Alice Philpot.

In 1964 Millie married Ray Dey and they lived in California where they owned a real estate company until the late 1960s when they relocated to the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Millie and Ray spent the early 1970s creating their own personal paradise on their property in Noxon, Mont., which they named "Lota Wata Lake." They loved the scenery, forest and wildlife.

They were joined there by Millie's sister, Velma Spears, and her husband, Bob, who lived next door. They were very close to their family and very generous to them. Ray and Millie spent their time buying and selling real estate, and at one time owned and operated the Big Sky General Store which sold antiques and collectibles.

Ray passed away in 1997 and Millie has continued to reside in this beautiful countryside, always inspired by the surrounding nature. Millie remained devoted to her family roots and in 2000 she generously donated some property to be dedicated as the Philpot family park in Gerty, Okla.

Millie is survived by nieces Happy Thompson, Janice Kuykendall, Alice Philpot, Betty Wainwright and nephews Paul Ingram and Bruce Ingram, as well as Ray's daughter Cheri Prescott.

The family requests that memorials be sent to Clark Fork Valley Hospital Hospice, Mont.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
