CLARK FORK — Megan Hess had a monster game with five kills, 44 digs and four aces, but it wasn't enough as host Clark Fork fell 25-22, 24-26, 25-23, and 25-22 in a tightly played match with Lakeside on Tuesday.
"A lot of tipping instead of kills," said Cats' coach Lisa Allen in summing up the match. "I'm seeing improvement. It's the first time we've had the whole team together. We've only had two practices together as a team."
Rayna Allen added seven kills and 31 digs, and Bailey Hewitt added six kills, 31 digs and four aces. Shaina Gustafson led the Cats with 20 assists, and fellow freshman Moranda Becker added 25 digs as the Cats continue to improve with playing time.
The Cats (1-3) play at Coeur d' Alene Charter on Thursday.
