Cross country team having great season

Want to hear some happy local sport news? The Sandpoint High School cross country team is doing great. In their last three meets, the girls placed first, first, and second, and the boys placed first, second, and fifth. Ten current runners, not including our coaches, are now on SHS Top 25 All-Time Runners list.

To you high school students: It's not too late to join. One can be a cowboy, a study nerd, a preppie, an activist, a drama king, any age, any size, anything and be accepted. So come, run and have some fun.

To everyone else: Meet us out at Riley Creek Campground this Saturday, Sept. 16, at 10 a.m. and see them in action. Find me and I'll show you a gorgeous, waterfront place to watch the races. I'll be the MACAW (middle-aged, crazy Asian woman) in the red shirt.
