Gloriane Ramona 'Ann' Hamann, 77

Gloriane Ramona "Ann" Hamann, 77, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint. Pastor Brian Atmore of the Creston Baptist Church and Pastor Jim Osman of the Kootenai Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery.

Ann was born in Wood River, Neb., on Oct. 1, 1928, to Edwin and Inez Bloom. The family moved to Kootenai, Idaho, in 1942, and Ann later graduated from Sandpoint High School.

Ann married Donald Hamann on Dec. 28, 1946, in Libby, Mont. The couple raised their family in Newport, Wash., where Ann worked at the Newport Hospital. After her family was raised Ann went to school and became a registered nurse in 1972. She went to work at Bonner General Hospital and lived in Kootenai.

She enjoyed painting, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, and working in her flower beds. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the squirrels and birds. Her favorite flower was a Tropicana rose.

She is survived by her four sons, Mike (Sun) Hamann of Tacoma, Wash., Pat Hamann of Sandpoint, Tim (Jeannie) Hamann of Benicia, Calif., and Mick (Karen) Hall of Sandpoint; a daughter, Cyndie Osman of Kootenai, Idaho; four brothers, Richard (Maridean) Bloom of Kootenai, Ralph Bloom of Sandpoint, Colin (Bonnie) Bloom of Cheney, Wash., and Terry (Carmen) Bloom of Kootenai; three sisters, Janice (Jim) Wilson of Osburn, Idaho, Sandra (Keith) Ellingson of Spokane Valley, Wash., and Tami Bloom of Sandpoint; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and special friend and caregiver, Denny Guthrie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Edwin Bloom, Jr.
