Ex-ITD employee can't be objective on byway

Shame on you. The headline on Tuesday's (Sept 5) paper should have been "ITD hires a firm employing ex-ITD bypass project manager for $270,000 to study and comment on the efficacy of the bypass. You disclosed this very important piece of information on the second page in the article's 13th paragraph.
How can anyone possibly expect an objective opinion from the former project manager of the bypass and why would the ITD hire such a person with such a biased view for such a large fee. This is in no way "an independent confirmation of what ITD has been saying about the byway" and I am surprised by your willingness to print such a statement. The real story here is the blatant conflict of interest that ITD is a party to.
