Apocalypse is nothing more than self-fulfilling prophecy

| September 18, 2006 9:00 PM

My, aren't we proud of ourselves. We are the "higher species" of life. We are "better" than all other creatures on earth. We can create all kinds of weapons of mass destruction to kill other humans, not to mention our wonderful ability to destroy every bit of God's creation around us for our "comfort" and greed. And, on top of that, we are getting better and better at all these things that are as far from anything caring or spiritual as we can possibly get.

The apocalypse we keep talking about these days is nothing more than the ultimate end to what man has been working toward all these centuries. It has nothing to do with anything except the God created in man's mind and a self-fulfilling prophesy of a species that cannot remain true to its spiritual self because its great "intelligence" gets in the way of its common sense and compassion, which are the true essences of anything godlike. When we kill and consume this earth and all living things on it, we will still be patting ourselves on the back that we are smarter than any other species because we knew it was going to happen.

Brilliant, aren't we? Loving and compassionate, aren't we?
