| September 27, 2006 9:00 PM

COEUR d'ALENE — The visiting Bulldogs (5-5-4, 3-3-3 IEL) and the Timberwolves (6-2-4, 4-2-2) played to a scoreless tie in Coeur d'Alene.

"Great defensive game," Lake City coach Matt Ruchti said. "I thought our opportunities were better than theirs, but as far as the game goes it was pretty even."

Lake City keeper Shannon Fraser made a point-blank save on a hard-driven Sandpoint shot in the first half.

"It was a big game for us because it's out first shutout of the year," said Bulldogs' coach Adam Tajan. "We had a lot of good looks. I was pleased with the back four. They were organized, tight on their marks and a huge contributing factor to our tie."

Sandpoint hosts Moscow today at 4:30 p.m.
