Public school funding situation is madness
The public school situation is pathetic. I am writing this before the levy vote (Sept. 3), but I hope it doesn't pass. The article in the Aug. 27 Sunday paper about Christian parents pulling their kids out of public school should be a wake-up call. But it won't be.
The public educational system is completely run over by humanistic, anti-God liberalism. It's not just in the high schools, it's K-12 and all the way through college where our teachers are supposed to be taught how to teach, but instead are indoctrinated into the liberal mind-set.
The only thing that will get the attention of the system is money or the lack of and even then some are so entrenched that they would rather public schools crumble than lose their liberal hold over it.
I met a graduate from one our local schools that spelled "building" and "fund" wrong. I'm not kidding. But I'll bet that person could tell you why its OK to be a homosexual. We can do better.
So to all you parents out there that are saying you can't get along with some morals intact. Teach your child at home or get together and start your own school. I'm telling you money and buildings aren't the answer. Kids used to learn on hard seats by wood stoves.
If you are waiting for public schools to get better, forget it. I've been waiting a long time and they just seem to get worse.
I believe what is going to happen is that alternatives like home schools, private schools and who knows what kind of school someone will think of, will become so great that the public school will someday just slip away. At least I'll keep praying that way.
