Thoughts about evolution misguided
Many of the thoughts Harvey Pine offered in his article in the Bee ("Evaluation of evolution offers many thoughts," Aug. 25) were ill-conceived and based on inaccurate information. Mr. Pine included numerous misstatements about evolution in his article — so called "missing links" are a problem, it is a purely random process, it is not scientific, it is mathematically impossible, and there are problems with time constraints, to name a few.
Because it is easier to make erroneous statements than it is to properly refute them, it is not possible to adequately address all the fallacies in his article in the space allotted in the letter to the editor format. Anyone interested in learning why Mr. Pine's conclusions are not supported by the facts may access my rebuttal by doing an Internet search for evolution/creation dialogues and clicking on the article entitled, "Misguided Thoughts About Evolution."
