Complaints come after the fact
Why is it that people come along after a precedent and begin to complain about that precedent? A case in point: The outdoor shooting range was established before some of our newer homes. Now the homeowners complain about the noise.
Now we have Mr. Potter who comes along and proposes a "Sandpoint tunnel." Now I can't claim that I am a Sandpoint native, but I have lived here for 19 years. During that time, I have been to numerous meetings in which proposals for various routes (including the tunnel) for the byway have been presented.
Each and every time the Sand Creek route was selected by the majority. I seem to remember that the Bee ran a survey, and again the majority selected the Sand Creek route. Thus the precedent, fact, has been set.
Mr. Potter would have us toss out the majority feelings and work that has been done, and start from scratch. So 10 or 15 years from now, construction might start. I'd be willing to bet that in the interim, more Seasons would be built and surprise, surprise, along the banks of Sand Creek.
