PRIEST RIVER — Megan Hess fired a 97 to lead the Clark Fork golf team at their season-opening meet at Priest River. Drew Wilkinson shot a 100, followed by Brian Baugh's 108 and Beezer Ruen's 117, as only four Clark Fork golfers were eligible for the first meet.
When at full strength, Hess will be joined on the girls' team by Brenda Davidson, Kaile Boward, Lauren McGinnis and Carina Lara. Hess is the only returning player with varsity experience.
Wilkinson will lead a fairly inexperienced boys' team, along with Baugh, Ruen, Ty Potter, Tyler Pesce and Stetson McElhaney. Coach K.C. McDonald calls the group very coachable and expects big improvement as the season progresses.
