Margaret Martha 'Meg' MacArthur, 44

| April 11, 2007 9:00 PM

Margaret Martha "Meg" MacArthur, 44, passed away suddenly on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007, at her home in Sagle.

At Meg's request, there will be no memorial services. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery.

Meg was born on Feb. 8, 1963, in Seattle, Wash., to Henry and Janet Judson. Later her acting career took her to California, New Mexico and back to Washington. There she met and married her husband, David Keyston and moved to the Sandpoint area.

Meg was dearly loved by many in Sandpoint, bringing a vibrant sense of life and love to all she knew. Ever conscious of the feelings of others she looked for ways to express her love in practical ways to everyone from the folks at the grocery store to those at her bank, in her church and elsewhere. She knew much about the daily life of those around her and truly cared about others, always letting her "light shine." An infallible intuition was a hallmark of Meg's ability to help others. Many times she was able provide insights that would illuminate an answer to a need, save someone from a potential pitfall, or provide an impartial but accurate assessment of a situation or person. Many will miss her love and zest for light, joy and life.

Meg graduated from Whitman College with a degree in theater and received her masters degree in theater at California College for the performing arts. She was an accomplished actress having played in many venues including the Shakespeare Theater in Ashland, Ore., as well as in plays in New Mexico, California, Washington, and most recently as Lady Macbeth in the production of Macbeth at the Spokane Civic Theater. She was a classically trained vocalist with a four-octave range. Meg contributed as soloist in the Christian Science Church here in Sandpoint.

Ever since her beloved collie "Bachy" passed, Meg was an ardent animal lover and was known to rescue and foster a number of animals from area shelters or those found on the road.

Meg is survived by her husband, David Keyston of Sagle; as well as her father Henry H. Judson Jr.; two brothers, Henry H. Judson III and William M. Judson, all of Seattle. Meg also had several nieces and nephews on both sides of her family. She will be dearly missed by all her family.

Donations may be made to the Panhandle Animal Shelter in Sandpoint (http://www.pasidaho.org/) or the Lifetime Friends Animal Sanctuary (http://www.ltfas.org/) in Cocolalla. Those friends that knew Meg may celebrate her life in an informal get-together for refreshments in the upstairs reception area at Lakeview Funeral Home at 301 S. Olive St. in Sandpoint on Saturday, April 21, at 11 a.m.
