Signals, sticker system both need improvement

| April 21, 2007 9:00 PM

The signal light at Highway 200 and Kootenai Cutoff Road is a big improvement, but when are they going to paint some lines. The little dots that were there are all worn off. I have seen some near accidents there, one including me. Without lines, some people don't know where they are driving.

On another subject, I took a load of brush to the dump (transfer station) at Colburn Culver Road. And even though I have lived here forever and paid taxes all the time, the attendant called her office and they confirmed I was a taxpayer and they had sent the new stickers out. I couldn't unload until I drove back to town and got my new sticker or I could pay another $5 for another sticker. I had my 2006 sticker but that wasn't good enough. So it cost me an hour in time and $5 in gas to go to town and get my 2007 sticker. It's just a rip off; not fair at all. I think there could be some common sense used.
