Carmen Kemp, 84

| August 6, 2007 9:00 PM

Carmen Kemp, 84, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2007, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Private family services will be held.

Carmen was born on Oct. 3, 1922, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Julio and Jacoba (Hernandez) De Fuentes. When she was in her teens they moved the family to San Pedro, Calif., where she grew up. She met and later married Leo A. Kemp. From this marriage came three children Lynda, Joseph and Edward.

A little over three years ago she moved from California to Newport, Wash., where she would be closer to one of her children in times of need.

Carmen is survived by all of her three children, three sisters, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her children were her main concern after the death of her husband 14 years ago.

One of her last requests was that there would be "no donations," but instead, please use your money to enrich your own lives and the lives of those around you.

Family and friends are invited to sign Carmen's online guest book and view her obituary at www.coffeltfuneral.com.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
