Bryan David Johnson, 46, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, in Stanwood, Wash.

Bryan was born May 8, 1961, to David Johnson and Madge Patterson in Sandpoint, Idaho. Bryan spent most of his life in Washing-ton with his mom and brother, Eric Patterson, and the summers with his dad, David and Betty Johnson, brother John Johnson and sister Emelie (Johnson) Henley.

Bryan joined the U.S. Navy after high school in 1979 and he traveled worldwide. While traveling, he met his wife Marylene Pascual in the Phillipine Islands, where they married on May 4, 1985.

In 1999, he retired from the Navy and the family made their home in Stanwood, Wash. He then worked at the Skagit County Jail.

Bryan enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling. He was a loving husband, father and brother.

Survivors include his wife, Marylene at home with their three children, Crystal, Cyril and Chantelle; two brothers, John (and Angie) Johnson of Sandpoint and Eric (and Anna) Patterson of Anaheim, Calif.; a sister, Emelie (Johnson) Henley of Kootenai, Idaho; and nieces and nephews, Seth Johnson, Chelsea Johnson, Vanessa Henley, Heather Henley and Meagan Patterson.
