Nell Lipp, 99, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2007, in the Bonners Ferry United Methodist Church. Pastor James Murphy will officiate with interment following in the Grandview Cemetery.

Nell was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on Feb. 20, 1908, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Davis. She graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1929 and operated the switchboard for the local telephone company.

She married Fred Lipp on June 12, 1929, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She and her husband owned the Fred Lipp Company. They operated the sand and gravel company and also the pre-mix company.

Nell enjoyed the outdoors, going trailriding on her horses, picking huckleberries, hunting, and fishing. She also liked to sew and garden for her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy L. Rosser of Bellingham, Wash., and Kay R Bergmann of San Francisco, Calif.; three grandchildren, Susan Johnson of Sandpoint, Diane Flynn of Spokane and Gary Plumlee of Richland, Wash.; and eight great-grandchildren, Cory, Jennifer and Sarah Johnson, Allison and Kathleen Flynn, Jonathan Williams, and Garrett and Ashley Plumlee.

Her parents, her husband, two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
