ATHOL — Two teenage siblings from Athol who were seriously injured in a Saturday crash that killed their 16-year-old sister remained hospitalized Monday.

Bridgette Lockman, 17, was taken to Kootenai Medical Center, where she was in critical condition after the noon crash in Athol, police said. An updated condition was not available on Monday.

Her brother, Zachary Lockman, 13, was in critical condition at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Their sister, Elizabeth Lockman, died at KMC.

Idaho State Police said Bridgette Lockman was crossing U.S. Highway 95 from Parks Road and drove her car into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Lori Carrier, 19, of Sagle.

The collision sent the Lockman car into the northbound lane and into the path of pickup driven by Andreas Reich, 79, of Hayden Lake, police said. The impact caused the Lockman car to go airborne.

The Lockman teens, who apparently were not wearing seatbelts, were thrown from their vehicle, police said.

Carrier was treated and released from KMC.

Reich was in good condition at KMC. A passenger in his vehicle, Marjorie Reich, 72, also of Hayden Lake, was in fair condition at KMC.
