Edna B. (Wallace) Johnson

Edna B. (Wallace) Johnson passed away Aug. 14, 2007, at Mountain Valley Care and Rehabilitation in Kellogg, Idaho, where she had lived for the past year.

Cremation was held. Graveside and inurnment services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at Hunt Cemetery in Kingston, Idaho.

A reception and gathering of family and friends will follow at the home of Karen and Bill DuPuis at 504 Lewiston Ave. in Pinehurst, Idaho.

Edna was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Kellogg to Emmet Lee and Clara Wallace.

Edna married Walter Johnson on Sept. 17, 1938, in Kellogg. He preceded her in death.

Edna spent most of her life on the French Gulch farm in Kingston, raising her daughters. In her later years, she enjoyed going to Pinehurst Senior Center, Ladies Steelworker's Auxiliary, Birthday Club and having lunch almost daily with her senior companion, Hazel Hoffman.

Edna is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Joyce and Larry Smith of Sandpoint, Karen and Bill DuPuis of Pinehurst, and Gail (Haynes) and John Nearing of French Gulch in Kingston; her three grandchildren and their spouses, Brenda (Smith) and Tony Yanik, Debbie (DuPuis) and Donny Marek, and Ronnie and Sheila Haynes; her five great-grandchildren, Jayme, T.J. and Josh Haynes, Sophie Miller and Joey Yanik; and great-great grandchild, Kaydence Haynes.

Edna also was preceded in death by sisters Ruth Uhtoff and Clara Galloway; a brother, Fred Wallace; and grandchildren, Robbie Haynes and Kip Smith.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hunt Cemetery, P.O. Box 722, Pinehurst, Idaho 83850.

Shoshone Funeral Services of Kellogg is entrusted with funeral arrangements.
