Eve's Leaves receives chamber honors
SANDPOINT — Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce named Eve's Leaves its business of the month for August.
Marilyn Sabella has owned the downtown women's clothing store at Cedar Street and First Avenue since 1980.
The store offers clothing and accessories for work, home and play. Lines include Fresh Produce, Tribal Sportswear, Eileen Fisher, Live a Little, French Dressing and more.
Sabella is involved with Sandpoint Rotary Club's scholarship program for high school students. She is also artistic director of Pend Oreille Arts Council, a board member for the Festival at Sandpoint and active with Idaho Commission of the Arts. Sabella is a board member of the Idaho Heritage Trust, whose mission is to renovate historical buildings, and is leading the restoration of the Head Start Building in Sandpoint.
"She is a very positive person and mentor," said Carol Warren, chairwoman for the chamber's ambassadors. "I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg, as Marilyn's involvement in the community is much more extensive."
