Heavy smoking ruined concert

I attended the Robert Earle Keene Concert on Thursday night and was nearly chased out of the concert by the stench of cigarette smoke, in spite of being all the way on the other side of the field. It almost seemed as though Rathdrum was burning fields again.
Does it really make sense to have a smoking section when the smoke is inflicted on non-smokers as well. I spoken to several other people who noticed the heavy cigarette smoke. Isn't it time to ban smoking inside the concert are entirely when it is impacting people who prefer not to be exposed to such unhealthy situation? As someone who has asthma it pretty much ruined the concert for me. Thoughts anyone?
