Patricia Taylor Darty, 72

Patricia Taylor Darty, 72, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, Aug. 13, 2007.

A memorial service will be held at Bee Hive Homes, 2100 E. Sherman Ave., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2007. A graveside service will be follow at 2 p.m. at Paradise Valley Cemetery in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Pat was born July 28, 1935, in Lubbock, Texas, to William Clyde and Eulalia B. Taylor. Four years later, her family moved to Tuscaloosa, Ala., where Pat grew up.

In high school, Pat was very active in softball, cheerleading, gymnastics, ballet and tap dancing. She attended Auburn University, where she met Edwin C. Darty. They married Dec. 28, 1954.

Pat put her education on hold to stay at home and raise their children. Kathi and Terri were born in Russellville, Ala. Larry, Debi and Ron were born in New Orleans, La.

After they moved to the Northwest, Pat completed her degree in education at Central Washington University in Ellensburg in 1967. She spent most of her career teaching elementary education in local Christian schools.

Pat's primary passion was her relationship with God. Her daily walk was a living testimony of her love for her Lord Jesus Christ.

Pat was survived by her children and their spouses, Terri White (Les), Larry Darty (Pam), Debi Capito (Frank), and Ron Darty (Myra); 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband; daughter, Kathi Barnett; and granddaughter, Jenny Young.

Pat was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
