Arba Sherman Ginn, 76, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Private memorial services with full military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at the War Memorial Field on Ontario Street in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Arba was born on Nov. 21, 1930, in Charters County, Ky., the son of Fredrick Thomas and Ada (Brown) Ginn.

He attended schools in Kentucky and joined the military in 1948 and proudly served for 23 years, serving in Korea and Vietnam. Arba went to work as a finish grade operator for the Operating Engineers Local in California and retired due to health reasons.

Arba married Maxine Sheperd in Ogden, Utah, in 1952. They were married 55 years, moving to Sandpoint in 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Ginn of Sandpoint; children, Rebecca Ginn of Idaho, Gaya Treadway of California, Arba Ginn II of California, Fred Ginn of Missouri and Virgial Ginn of Kentucky; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 5 brothers and sisters also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Christopher Ginn and eight brothers and sisters.
