ORDINANCE #256

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCILEMBERS OF THE CITY OF HOPE, IDAHO, REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF HOPE, IDAHO:

SECTION 1. MAYOR AND COUNCIL SALARIES.

Commencing January 1, 2008 the salaries of the Mayor and the members of the Hope City Council shall be as follows:

(a) The Mayor shall receive a monthly salary in the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00)

(b) Each member of the Council shall receive a monthly salary in the sum of twenty five dollars ($25.00)

SECTION 2. REPEAL OF CONFLICTING PROVISIONS.

All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE

This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage and publication as provided by law.

Passed under suspension of the rules and duly enacted by the City Council as an ordinance of the City of Hope on the 8th day of August 2007.
