Young archers had great time at world competition

I would like to take just a moment to thank our community for its assistance in raising $10,000 for local youth archers. The funding allowed me a chance to take some very deserving youth to Anderson, Ind., for a world archery competition.

I was very proud of not only how the youth did but also how they represented North Idaho. They learned a lot about the world of competitive archery and they also experienced things they might not have without the community's support.

It is so nice to know that even with the changes that have taken place in our once-little town, the local community still supports the youth.

To all of those who were instrumental in getting these kids to this event, a heartfelt thank you.
