What if the election was today and no one voted?
The campaigning for national offices have started and more aptly defined as "let the games begin." You and I are to listen to the debates, watch the political ads, read the blogs and watch the news commentators, all so that we can make an intelligent, informed decision as to who will represent you and me, the American voter and taxpayer.
Candidates make their debate statements and then spend two days clarifying what they really meant, the parties find loopholes in the fundraising laws and have special groups doing their dirty work behind the scenes.
Parties and candidates put out deliberate misinformation and the courts have rules that's OK because it's up to the voters to determine the facts. In reality we're flooded with so much disinformation that it's not possible to make an informed decision. Did I mention, that not voting won't work. (Fun to think about, though) You see, the special interest groups will still vote because they have their own agendas and we're just the pawns.
