Don't assume you have all of the facts

| August 27, 2007 9:00 PM

You've made assumptions concerning me as you did with who fed the bears. You don't know if I hunt or fish. As you didn't know who fed the bears or if that photo was taken in Idaho. It could have easily been an animal park. I speak only for myself and don't call myself part of a majority. I don't need supporters to have my own opinion, nor is it a requirement for me to have a hunting license for me to have an opinion. I'm not a transplant; I was born and raised here with a family of avid hunters. My parents had one of the first guide teams in the area taking city slickers into the backcountry to bag their trophy.

Although I support those who harvest what is legal to feed their families, and help with overpopulation, what I actually get free from sportsman is weeks of listening to target practice at all hours, and a shorter season to trail ride or hike in the mountains without fear of being shot.

Let's face it, a fair chase situation isn't actually in reality fair if one is armed with a deadly weapon, covered in camouflage, and scent, using a call and waiting in ambush, but then that is just my opinion. Now excuse me I need to run down and get my hunting license and save those bears.
