Kick back and enjoy summer's last hurrah
While the calendar still claims we are in August, it's pretty obvious we are quickly leaving summer behind.
Labor Day weekend marks the end of summer for most. School starts on Tuesday. Some claim life gets back to normal once the kids go back to school.
Some of our readers have empty nests but must still look back with wonder about summers with the kids.
It's easy to get caught up with the national news, economic news, the looming Social Security and Medicare crises that no presidential candidate will touch.
It's too easy.
This would be a great weekend to suck up the last bit of "real" summer and to kick back and enjoy how lucky we all are to be right here, right now.
This part of the world is special and has so much to offer for anyone who wants to give it a chance.
