NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That the general election to be held in and for the City of East Hope, Idaho, will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2007. The election is held for the purpose of electing two (2) councilmembers for a term of four years and one (1) councilmember for a term of two years. Candidates for elected offices are required to file a declaration of candidacy with the city clerk, accompanied by: (1) nonrefundable filing fee of $40 or (2) a petition of candidacy signed by at least five qualified city electors that have been verified by the county clerk's office. The deadline for filing declarations of candidacy is Friday, September 7, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. Declarations of candidacy are available at City Hall in the office of the city clerk at 505 Wellington Pl. from the hours of 8 a.m. to 12 noon Monday-Friday.
