Fern June Herman, 76

Fern June Herman, 76, entered into rest on Nov. 29, 2007, in Spokane Washington.

Fern was born April 21, 1931, to Paul and Vanita McKenney in Spokane, Wash.

Fern is survived by her husband of 57 years, Alvin Herman of Spokane; sister, Carolyn Thompson; daughters, Paula Krant and Patricia Herman; sons, Earl Herman, Enrique Herman and Jon Herman; sons-in-law, Alan Krant and Lewis Tomlinson; daughters-in-law, Shanna Herman and Mona Herman; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leroy McKenney and a daughter, Pamela Kay Tomlinson.

She loved serving others. Fern was a volunteer for Youth for Christ and foster care organizations. She helped in finding homes for exchange students in the area, including having four in her own home.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Pasadena Park Church of the Nazarene, 8822 E. Upriver Dr., Spokane, WA.
