Soldiers' sacrifices led to today's peace

My name is Freedom W. Watson and I am a Life Scout and am working on my Eagle Scout rank. I also attend Sandpoint High School.

I would like to extend my thanks to all of the veterans who have fought for our country. Your sacrifice has allowed all of my generation to live in a relatively peaceful country. Today's youth are able to grow up without worrying about living in a war-torn country day to day. I am glad to live without having to worry about roadside bombs and suicide bombers daily and being pressured into becoming a suicide bomber or a murderer.

I would like to thank all of you again for fighting for our country's freedom because if you hadn't, I feel that most of us would not be here today.
