Hughes, Winter lead Sandpoint wrestling team

CHATTAROY, Wash. — Will Hughes and Sid Winter each registered two pins as Sandpoint split duals with Colville and Riverside Wednesday night at Riverside High School.

Garrett Belgarde, Tim Pepperdine and Leonard Fister each won two matches for Sandpoint, which beat Colville 45-33 and then fell to Riverside 47-27.

It was the first match of the year for the young Sandpoint team, which travels to Lakeside High School next Tuesday night.
