Crews needs to sand city streets earlier

| December 10, 2007 8:00 PM

Sandpoint a walking town? Driving town? I think not!

Before our recent snow we had deicer trucks out on the highways. After the snows we had plow trucks out plowing our roads. That's all folks! Every side street intersection in this town then turned into and still are sheets of ice. Is it to much to ask the city to bring out the sanding trucks to sand these intersections for the safety of all who use our crosswalks and roadways in town.

Yes, winter is upon us and we need to slow it down. Our kids are walking to and from school but the icy road conditions we are dealing with can be eased greatly with a little effort from our city Public Works Department.
