Vera McMahon, 69, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007.

Family memorial services will be held later.

Vera was born on Sept. 23, 1938, in Los Angeles, Calif., and grew up in Redondo Beach, Calif.

She lived in Palm Springs, Calif., and Imperial, Calif., working as a maid in the area hotels.

In 2002 she moved to Sandpoint with her mother.

She was known for her green thumb, her craftwork, and her collectibles. She enjoyed painting by numbers and her dog Buddy.

She is survived by her son Russell (and Deanna) McMahon, and grandson Jacob McMahon of San Diego, Calif.; her mother Mary M. Ford of Sandpoint; her brother Ted (and Willa) Key of Sagle, Idaho; her nieces Sherry (and Zack) Whitson of Moyie, Idaho; Debra (and Jerome) Zellanack of Chico, Wash.; and Tammy (and Larry) Bricker of Laclede, Idaho; and a good friend Bill Rarick of Dover, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her father Ted Key Sr.; and two brothers Stanley and Owen.
