Annie Cecilia Carlson, 86

Annie Cecilia Carlson, 86, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, in the Sandpoint Christian Center. Pastor Wesley Ribeiro will officiate.

Annie was born in Resele, Sweden, on Jan. 6, 1921, the daughter of Edward and Freda Ehlin.

In 1923 she came to America, through Ellis Island, with her parents.

The family moved to a Swedish community in Laramie, Wyo., where she graduated from high school.

In 1944 she moved to Sandpoint, Idaho where she married Carl Nelson, moving to Delta Junction, Alaska, in 1960.

They homesteaded in Alaska and Carl died in Alaska. She later married Harry Gilbertson and he also died in Alaska.

In 1972 she returned to Sandpoint to care for her folks and married Albert Carlson, who passed away in Sandpoint.

Annie was a member of the Sandpoint Christian Center and was active in the work of the church.

Annie liked music, playing the piano for churches and loved the accordion.

She enjoyed fishing and hunting.

She is survived by four children Linda (and Bill) Thomas of Hayden, Idaho, Sonja (and Rod) Cordle of Hayden, Idaho, David (and Debra) Nelson of Post Falls, Idaho, and Jim Peterson of Reno, Nev.; stepdaughter Rosena (and Brownie) Balison of Sandpoint; and 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
